  • Are doctor house calls Covered by OHIP?
    • Yes, medical visits are covered by OHIP and require a valid OHIP card.
  • I don't have a valid OHIP card, can I still see a doctor? 
    • Our provider will still be able to see you and will bill privately for the services. Please call to discuss specific costs.
  • Who can use this service?
    • Anyone who requires a doctor to visit them in their home or work setting can use our services. Some patients are unable to see a doctor during clinic hours, others are home bound or have difficulties with disabilities.
  • Are your physicians certified to practice in Ontario?
    • All of our physicians must hold active licenses to practice Medicine in Ontario. We verify their professional status with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
  •  I have two kids that need to be seen, can the doctor see everyone the same day?
    • Yes, the doctor can see multiple patients at the same location. Just let us know when you book the appointment how many people need to be seen.
  • I don't have a family doctor and need additional resources, can you help?
    • Payje collaborates with  local community programs and the Community Care Access Center (CCAC). If additional home support -such as home care givers, wound care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy etc. is needed, we can help patients with access based on their eligibility.
  • Will the doctor see me for any medical problem?
    • Our doctors provide care for a range if issues similar to what can be expected in a primary care or general practice setting. While the provider will have some portable equipment, limitations do exist for home visits. Our services are not suitable for urgent or emergency medical needs.
  • I need a medication from the doctor but am unable to access a pharmacy. Does the doctor have medication on hand?
    • No, our doctors do not carry any medications but can provide a prescription note. We coordinate with near-by pharmacies who can deliver your medication.
